ABOUT

Kilbi (still in progress) was created as part of the Typedesign Advanced module and developed as a custom typeface for the Bad Bonn Kilbi. The typeface embodies the character of the festival: dynamic, playful, and friendly, with a distinctive quality that makes it unique.
Designed as a text typeface, it combines readability with a lively and distinctive formal language. Its dynamic quality is informed by calligraphic principles, translating the rhythm of handwriting into grotesque letterforms. Several special letters reference the Seislern dialect spoken in Düdingen, giving the typeface a strong regional identity.
